How to Multiply Columns in Excel

Hello, and welcome to this channel! In today’s video, we’ll learn how to utilize the multiplication formula in the Microsoft Excel program. Here is some basic data for applying the multiplication formula:

  • Player Name
  • Time of work (in weeks)
  • Hours per week

To calculate the total hours, we will use the multiplication formula. Click here and enter an equal sign, then type “PRODUCT”. Multiply all the numbers by selecting them as arguments. Double-clicking this command indicates that you want to multiply the items together. Now, assign the cell value; in this case, it will be ‘true’. Enter a colon and select ‘C2’. Enclose the formula within brackets and hit ‘Enter’ to obtain the result for this cell. Afterward, select the entire column and press ‘Ctrl + D’ on the keyboard.

Another way to use the multiplication formula in Excel is to select a cell where you want the multiplication result to appear. Enter an equal sign and type “PRODUCT”. Provide all the numbers as arguments, and again, double-click the command to multiply the items together. Assign the value ‘true’. Enter a colon, then select ‘C2’. Enclose the formula within brackets and press ‘Enter’ to get the result for this cell. Select the entire column and press ‘Ctrl + D’ to apply the formula to all columns.
