How to Enable or Disable the Firewall in Windows 10

 

In today’s video, we will show you how to enable or disable the firewall in Windows 10. Go to Cortana search line, type in “control panel”, click on it. Choose “Windows Firewall”. Go to the left side panel, click on “Turn Windows Firewall On or Off”. To disable Firewall, check in the “Private Network Settings” part “Turn off Windows Firewall”. Repeat in the “Public Network Settings”. Click “Ok”. You will get notifications that Windows Firewall is off. To Enable Firewall, go to the left side panel, click on “Turn Windows Firewall On or Off”. Check in the “Private Network Settings” part “Turn on Windows Firewall”. Repeat in the “Public Network Settings”. Click “Ok”. There’s one more way to do it. Right click on the windows icon and go to “Computer management”. Click on the “Services and applications” and then “Services” on the left side menu. Switch to the Standard tab. Look for “Windows Firewall”. Choose “disabled” in the “Startup type”. Click “apply”. Click “stop” button. The firewall is off. Click “Ok”. To enable Firewall, click on “Windows Firewall”. Choose “automatic” in the “Startup type”. Click “apply”. Click “start” button. The firewall is on. Click “Ok”.
